Elephant Moon have been learning about all things literature this week as Cheltenham is currently hosting the Literature Festival!

The Toddlers and Tweenies have been listening to The Very Hungry Caterpillar and taking part in an interactive activity where they fed the caterpillar the different food he eats on each day of the week in the story! They have also done a sensory letter hunt and had a teddy bears picnic.

The babies have been exploring books independently and enjoying the books that are made of different materials where they can lift flaps and have a more interactive experience. They have listened to the Gruffalo and played in their own Gruffalo Crumble sensory tray.

Preschool have been enjoying having their own cosy corner to snuggle up with a cuddly toy and read a book independently, with friends, or one to one with a practitioner. They have also had fun listening to Goldilocks and the Three Bears and initially acted out the story with guidance from a practitioner. They joined in with words and phrases that they knew and also enjoyed challenging themselves afterwards by using the props and characters to re-enact the story independently.
